Pixi Thistlelily

Owner

Pixi was born with 2 left feet. She made it only a couple weeks in ballet in 2nd grade, and managed a whole session of gymnastics when she was 9. That's all. So if Pixi can fly- believe me, so can you. She went to her first aerial class when she was 19 years old at Studio 180 in Annapolis and LOVED it! Now she wants to show everyone that they can do it too! Outside of Circus in the Woods, Pixi works with kids with autism and hopes to become an occupational therapist- using circus to help kids with everything from social skills and coping techniques to therapy for sensory processing disorders and more!

Circus in the Woods is a community effort. We have so many volunteers, friends, family, guest artists, panda bears, koala bears, and Santa bears, who help make it all happen. These are just some of the faces you'll see at Circus in the Woods!

Jose Gonzalez

Troll

Don't be fooled, even without the mud and tusks, children still mysteriously vanish when this troll's around! When he's not making soup, Jose helps around at Circus in the Woods, teaching aerials, watching kids, eating kids... er... forget that last part...
When he's not flying, Jose studies computer science at school and does secret computer language mumbo jumbo. He likes to play soccer and can sometimes be caught drumming around a fire.
